WInd Sensors

Wind Speed and Direction
WS01 The WS01 is a mechanical wind speed sensor (anamometer) with an SDI-12 interface. Unlike most mechanical wind sensors, the WS01 (and WV01) have easily replaceable bearings and a replaceable PCB. That gives the sensors a very long  life span.
The WS01 may be operated in Simple Mode, where it returns a single wind value, or Advanced mode, where it returns WMO compliant values for average, minimum and maximum wind speeds. The sensors may be powered permanently or for a smaller portion of the log period (to save power). View WS01 Brochure.
WV01 The WV01 is a mechanical wind direction sensor (wind vane) with an SDI-12 interface. It shares most of its components with the WV01, so benefits from ease of repair and long life.
The WV01 may be used in Simple mode, where it returns the current wind direction, or Advanced mode, where it returns the vector average of the wind direction. View WV01 brochure.
AWC01 The WS01 and WV01 may be supplied as a pair and in this mode are shipped with a pair of 40cm mounting arms. When mounted opposite each other on a post, the arms meet the spacing requirements of the WMO (min 80cm separation). View AWC01 brochure.
RK120-03 The RK120-03 is an ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor which may be used in areas where a mechanical sensor is unsuitable i.e. in corrosive environments or where mechanical damage is likely to occur. The RK120 measures wind via a set of 3 ultrasonic elements placed at the points of an equilateral triangle. When the air moves, it changes the speed of the ultrasonic pulses and the sensor performs some advanced maths to resolve the wind speed and direction from the change across the 3 elements. RK900-10 The RK900-10 is a combination weather cluster which is available in a number of different configurations. The standard configuration includes: wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, relative humidity and barometeric pressure. Versions with solar radiation and rainfall may be added on request (although our preference is always to use a separate rain gauge).
